Holy Mother Church
Has left us in a lurch.
She’s confused
And we, abused!
The term is “irregular.”
It covers marriage misbehavior.
The gate is down;
The lambs are straying,
The shepherd playing
A game of mercy.
Mercy without recompense,
Unfulfilled due-diligence.
Mercy at all cost
Until all is lost!
If Holy Mother Church is bride of Christ,
And divorce forgiven,
Will Christ partake in this division?
If so, we are driven
Outside the bounds
That keep us even.
The center cannot hold!
We faithful are outside the fold!
